Intuitive Intelligence is your best friend, your most powerful partner. How many times have you looked back on a decision and said, “I know that was a bad idea?”. Well if you’re like me it has happened too many times.
Instincts are closely tied to intuition and rarely fail you, if you listen. One time I had a room to rent out. It is a nice room in a nice house, in an OK neighborhood. The room had been empty for over a month and I wanted to get it rented. A young man answered the ad and filled out the application, all looked fine on paper. All along there was something nagging at me saying this was not going to be a good roommate, but I ignored it and said OK. Later that evening I was out at dinner with some friends and got a call from one of the other established roommates, the call was short, “be here now”, click. The panic and urgency was obvious so without eating I ran to the car and rushed home. On the home stretch a scene of chaos appeared with no less than eight police cars in front of our house. As it turns out the new roomy was on the run from a crazy girlfriend who had tracked him down, broken down our front door, maced the peaceful tenants and proceeded to attack the poor fellow. By the time I arrived the house was in shambles, splintered wood and glass everywhere, an ax lying on the floor and everyone in handcuffs. The story goes on but you get the idea, the intuition on this one was clear, I ignored it and ended up with a big repair bill and back looking for a roommate.
Affirmation: I listen, believe in and follow through on my intuition.
